Who we are

CommonShift is a retail and wellness center all about the down-to-earth realities of becoming a parent. From maternity clothes to fitness classes, CommonShift encompasses a broad network of resources cultivated to support people bringing children into the world. It’s our mission to help you connect with whatever you need, from lactation consulting to couples’ therapy, and along the way, find community with others in the same chapter of life.

Our Story

Ruby Opgenorth began CommonShift Collaborative to provide crucial support and resources to all people transitioning into parenthood, and most especially, to those experiencing pregnancy and postpartum. Through extremely adverse experiences with conception, pregnancy loss, pregnancy, and postpartum, Ruby turned to work that would cultivate the things that were missing from their own journey: a space to embrace change, honor lived experiences, and build community by sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly. Yoga, snacks, and laughter go a long way, too.

We hope this space can be a one-stop-shop for your parenthood transformation, and introduce you to the broad network of Denver-based support you’re surrounded by. If you’re thinking about pregnancy, trying to conceive, managing a loss, currently pregnant, planning for birth, freshly postpartum, or even four years into parenthood, we’re glad you’re here.

Remember: you’re not alone, and you’re doing a great job.
